Four wrestlers place in top eight at state tournament

Four+wrestlers+place+in+top+eight+at+state+tournament

The wrestling team qualified six wrestlers to compete in the State Tournament this year; Donovan Doyle, John Milani, Tanner Rohweder, Aaron Stumpf, Blake Moser,  and Nate Kelsey. Four of these wrestlers place in the top eight.  Wrestling for third place, Doyle loses 1-2 to Kelly May from Cedar Rapid Jefferson. With the lose, Doyle places fourth after placing eighth last year.  In Milani’s final match, he pins Max Lyon from Epworth in the first period. Milani recieves his second state medal and places seventh. For Rohweder’s final match, he wins 4-3 over Nolan Hromidko of Cedar Rapids Kennedy. Rohweder will receive his fourth state medal with his best finish of third place. Lastly, for Stumpf final match, he  loses to Ethan Ksiazek frozkjhQ7WFm Johnston. Stumpf receives his first state medal and places eighth.
