The girls cross country team is off to a successful start to their season. The team won their first and second meets of the year at Cedar Rapids Prairie and Pella, respectively. At the Cedar Rapids Invitational at Noelridge Park on September 10, they fell to Pleasant Valley, Muscatine and Bettendorf. On September 19 the team ran at the Heartland Classic in Ames where they had an exciting victory in a large and competitive field of 25 teams from several states. On September 26 the team will be in Kansas for the Rim Rock Classic before beginning the last month of the season in October. Scroll below to view pictures from the Heartland Classic.
