Trojans lose second round playoff

Monday was the last night the 2016 seniors would put on their pads and gold helmet and take the field together.

The Trojans suffered a 43-18 loss to number two ranked team, the Bettendorf Bulldogs. Going into the second round playoff game on November 2, West had compiled a 4-6 record; Bettendorf an undefeated 10-0 record.

During the first half, the Trojans kept the Bulldogs at bay, only allowing them to score two field goals and a touchdown. The Trojans answered with a touchdown of their own to bring the score at halftime to 13-6 with Bettendorf leading.

Bettendorf continued their lead in the second half, scoring four more touchdowns. West scored twice more. Bettendorf won with a final 43-18.
