The stage was lit up by the smiles of performers as they sang and danced last night, showing the progress they’ve made on their shows so far this year.
The Works in Progress concert is a collaborative effort put on by both West and City High as a way of positively encouraging the show choirs from both schools and as a great practice performance.
“I really like this concert because it makes people motivated to work harder after seeing what each other can do,”said Gina Thayer ’11, a member of The Goodtime Company.
The performance featured performances by City High’s prep group City Lights and their varsity ensemble Fourth Avenue Jazz Company, as well as West’s own Showtime and The Good Time Company.
“I had a good time watching shows from both sides of town tonight,” Ryson Stuart ’11 said. “I think we now have a better idea of what still needs to be improved.”
