Boys varsity advances towards State

Last Tuesday, the West varsity boys team defeated Dubuque Senior in a difficult game. Dubuque started off with the first few points, but the Trojans quickly made up for it with a strong defense, and quick three-pointers. At halftime, West lead by twelve, carrying 34 points. Senior, 24. After the half, the game completely turned to the Trojan’s advantage, with Dondre Alexander “13, Austin Swank “13, and Jason Stewart “13 making strong plays. At the end of the fourth, the final score stood. West with 68, Dubuque Senior 48. Below are some shots of the game.

 

The Trojans also beat another team, Cedar Rapids Jefferson on Friday, bringing them closer to the state title.
