Super shutout: Women of Troy sweep City in soccer

The West High girls soccer team has done it again. While fans lined up at the University of Iowa soccer field for the boy-girl double header, the Womens of Troy’s soccer team cruised to an easy 5-0 win against cross-town rival City High School with Quinn Terrel ‘13 scoring 3 of West Highs goals, “I was just in the right place at the right time and my teammates were able to get the ball to me,” Terrill said. Mary Hausler ’12 and Alli Peterson ‘14, also put one in the back of the net to boost the Trojans score, “The girls on our team are all so talented and last night demonstrated how well we work together as a team by being able to connect passes and get the ball in the back of the net,” said Terrill.  Hausler agreed, “West High girl’s soccer is a team and that is how we play. (…) my success is purely an extension of my teammates.” After Tuesday’s win the team is now 6-0, their next home game is Saturday, April 28 at Northwest Junior High, starting at 8am.
