- Students were welcomed by the drumline, who were pounding out beats that resounded throughout the gym.
- Set apart from the rest of the drumline, Olaf Sunleaf ’14 keeps time on his instrument and around his neck.
- In a mad dash across the gym, Kasra Zarei ’13, a candidate for Done Most, keeps his green and gold overalls from falling down. Not to worry, Zarei made it to the other side sans stumbles.
- Not used to running in galoshes and denim, Reid Bonner ’13, Most Athletic candidate, hustles to the other side of the gym in the second leg of the relay.
- Scooting along on a yoga ball, Zach Digmann ’13, Homecoming King candidate, finishes strong in the relay race.
- The Done Most candidates scramble to put together the lyrics of the Trojan fight song, a West anthem that isn’t well-known among the student body.
- In the bonus round of the relay race, Done Most candidates get some help from the audience, and the planner, in writing down the Trojan fight song.
- The candidates for Most Athletic won the bonus challenge and got to serenade the crowd with the Trojan Fight Song.
- In what would have been a down moment, a wave wraps around the gym – first regular speed, then slow motion, and finishing with a lightning round. Members of the football team can be credited with introducing the motion of the ocean.

The 2,000 students packed the gym to watch this year’s homecoming court nominees and teachers alike embarrass themselves in a series of relays, in addition to the introduction of all fall sport teams and a performance by the dance team. The sea of green and gold cheered on their favorites as the festivities ensued.
