Hailing from Ehime Prefecture on the small island of Shikoku in Japan, Sayo Nishii ’18 continues to her passion for hockey in the United States. Nishii was  a part of the national junior hockey team, and intends to keep on playing when she pursues her high school education in Japan. If accepted into a high school in Nagoya, a town about 3 hours from her hometown, she will live with her grandmother in Nagoya and be separated from her parents. Nishii will be returning to Japan later this month to study for her entrance exams.
