Boys swim team hosts state meet
On Saturday, Feb. 10 West competed in the state swim meet.
For the first time in 13 years, West hosted the state swim meet at the CRWC downtown Iowa City on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Trojans placed 13th overall. Izaak Hajek ’20 placed 4th overall in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.03, Lane Griffis ’18 finished 8th overall in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:46.05 and Michael Kimball ’20, Valeri Trussov ’19, Ben Berhow ’18 and Brennon Keen ’18 finished 8th overall in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:27.76.
