Mario Kart Olympics

Mario+Kart+Olympics

Today after school, West’s first Mario Kart Olympics took place. Students raced each other on the popular Wii game until the winners were crowned. Harry Manaligod ’15 took first, Ian Pope ’16 received second and Mathias Sader ’15 got third.

“[My favorite part about Mario Kart is] Luigi, in general,” Manaligod said.

According to co-organizer Chandler Hames ’14, the Student Senate decided to hold a Mario Kart tournament for West students because of the winter Olympic games.

The event attracted students from all grades.

“I like how it brings different people together,” said Justin Barry ’15, a member of the Student Senate executive board and co-organizer of the event.
