West High beat Homecoming opponent Dubuque Hempstead 39-35 on Oct. 4, but the game is only part of Homecoming week at West High. Students dressed up for spirit days, which is highlighted through students’ pictures and tweets in this overview of the spirit days. Upperclassmen took to the volleyball court to spike, dive and serve in Man Ball. The West Side Story sat down with all of the Homecoming Court candidates, and see photos of the Homecoming Court being nominated at the game.

The Mustangs took the lead in the beginning of the game, but the Trojans fought back to eventually score the game winning touchdown with eight second left.
