IHSPA names 3 WSS staffers Emerging Journalists

The Iowa High School Press Association named Nina Elkadi ’18, Catherine Ju ’18 and Simran Sarin ’17 as three of the 10 Emerging Journalists in the state of Iowa. This program serves to acknowledge and encourage high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors who demonstrate promise in journalism. Other Emerging Journalists recognized are from Iowa City High, Des Moines North, Des Moines East, Waukee and Johnston. For information on past West Side Story awards, click here.
