Memory Monday: remembering autumn

Every Monday, we profile one student on one of their favorite memories.

As fall rapidly approaches, many enjoy the cool breeze that surrounds us in the afternoon or the smell of pumpkin pie that clouds one’s nostrils. Yet, for Josey Gale ’18, autumn brings back the memory of raking leaves with her one year old nephew on a fine windy evening.

“It’s funny because Henry thinks he is raking leaves, but he is actually sitting there and raking dirt. Then, he would look up and start clapping by himself,” Gale said.

Gale favors this memory because she loves the idea of staying young. Her nephew is older now, but she still holds on to a small piece of his youth and hers.
