Earn a Silver Cord this Summer

1440 club shares volunteer opportunities for this summer.

May 30, 2017

With busy schedules during the school year, getting volunteer hours to earn a Silver Cord can be difficult. As the summer break begins, though, many opportunities arise. Some students find it easier to regularly volunteer during break because they aren’t occupied with school for eight hours a day.

When school starts up again, students can join the volunteer club 1440. They meet every Wednesday morning in the 9th grade study hall room. The students work together to help the community and brainstorm volunteer opportunities.

The infographic below shows past volunteer areas and reasons why students should join 1440.
