Patrick McCaffery '19 dunks the ball during the second quarter and increases West's lead to 15 on Sat., Jan. 20. When asked about what it was like playing at the U.S. Cellular Center McCaffery said, “There’s a bit of a shock factor when you go out there for warm ups, but usually it doesn’t take long to get over that and focus on the game.”
On Friday, Jan. 20 the boys basketball team traveled to Cedar Rapids to battle Prairie during the Wells Fargo Advisors Shootout game. The Trojans overcame the Prairie Hawks 65-55. Patrick McCaffery ’19 led the Trojans with 24 points followed by Dante Eldridge ’19 with 19 points.
The boys will play at home on Tuesday, Jan. 23 against the Little Hawks in a men’s and women’s doubleheader. The girls will play at 6 p.m. followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m. Check back on Tuesday for more coverage.
