Nelson Brands '18 waits while the referees deliberate on a call as he competes at West High.
After coming off his victory at the state championships in the 160-pound category, Nelson Brands ’18 has been nominated for KCRG’s Athlete of the Week. The three-time state champion is a finalist alongside Drew Nadermann of west Dubuque, who led his team to a championship at the state bowling meet with a third-place finish, and Cael Happel of Lisbon, whose second individual title contributed to earning his team a first-place trophy at the state wrestling meet.
