Tornado warning interrupts graduation

Sirens began to echo throughout the walls of Carver Hawkeye Arena at approximately 6:20 pm. They announced a tornado warning for Johnson County and surrounding areas, stalling the graduation ceremony originally set to begin at 7 pm.
Students and attendees have been moved to the arenas tunnels and are awaiting further instruction.
Local authorities are urging everyone to take shelter immediately, preferably in a room without windows.
