Get Fresh recently opened in downtown Iowa City and let me tell you, this has to be the best bowl I’ve had in the area. Their first permanent location opened at NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids a while ago, and when I heard Iowa City was getting a location I got so excited! The menu has so many options to customize your bowl and plenty of substitutes for different allergies and preferences. The base of their bowl is incredibly thick, like ice cream, and has a unique nutty taste which only adds to the deliciousness. Rather than only putting granola on top of the acai base, Get Fresh also adds it to the bottom of their bowl which is something I haven’t seen before and a great addition. Their toppings are all fresh and can be customized to your preference. I would definitely recommend Get Fresh to anyone looking to try their first bowl.
