As COVID-19 positivity rates rise and pressure surrounding the presidential election mounts, some of Amy Coney Barrett’s Supreme Court hearing remarks have only added to the 2020 trepidation. Whether she is using homophobic language to refer to the LGBTQ+ community or admitting to not having read anything on racism, her inexperience is blatant. While having various perspectives on the Supreme Court is acceptable, prejudice (as cited by her XXXXL Karen coffee cup) is not. Fundamental human rights of BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized groups are on the line with the potential appointment of A.C.B., pending the upcoming election results. If anything, these hearings have made one thing clearer: vote.
