Quill and Scroll, a journalism honor society, recognized West Side Story members in its 2023 International Writing, Photo/Design and Multimedia Contest.
Will Cheng ’23 received second place Features Design for “Silenced speech.”
Zaira Ahmad ’24 received honorable mention Profile Writing for “Taking flight.”
Both students will be recognized at the JEA/NSPA National Journalism Convention in San Francisco on April 22. Additionally, all award winners are eligible as seniors to apply for Quill and Scroll’s student scholarships.
