Steve Gibson

Steve Gibson is one of the special education/learning support teachers who has worked at West for 18 years. His most cherished memories revolve around building relationships. “My best memories are of relationships formed through the years with staff, students, and their families. The best memories aren’t of certain scores or grades, but they are of daily interactions with people. The students who really overcame obstacles and struggled but eventually earned their diploma, I’ll always remember them.”

Gibson hopes that his lectures have made a difference in his kids’ lives. “I just tried to come to work each day doing the best I could to make a difference in my student’s lives. I am telling myself that at least a few of my lectures sunk in.”
