I decided to try Dunn Brothers after hearing about their delicious toasts and coffee. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find out they served acai bowls as well. When I got the chance to try one, I was not as pleasantly surprised. The bowl is very cold, with small chunks of ice in the base that weren’t blended, giving the bowl a watery taste and consistency. The toppings were quite good, though the bowl I got was coated in an uncomfortable amount of honey. I have not eaten there consistently, so I’m not sure if these errors were in the making of my bowl, or if this is the standard of their acai bowls. It’s certainly quick and at a good price, but Jamba Juice is a similar experience with a better overall rating.
