The cotton club was a popular nightclub in Harlem, operating during the Prohibition era. Although it was a white-only institution, most of the performers were black. Some of the more notable performers included: Lena Horne, Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. The cotton club has been revitalized with modern actors depicting the best and brightest during the club’s heyday.
