South African native Senéad Short ’15 kicked off the Globetrotters Club with milk tart, a traditional South African dish, and the question “What do you think of when you think of South Africa?”
The senior gave a presentation on her home country to the club during their weekly meeting on Thursday, January 22. Short talked about the different aspects of living in South Africa; from the national parks to the currency to the national events.
“[I went] to a World Cup game when we lived there.” she said.
Globetrotters main goal is to inform people on cultures in different countries.
“We hope to help people learn about other parts of the world without having to travel there.”
Globetrotters meet Thursdays at 2:30 in room 135.
