Jazz saxophonist Adam Larson visits West

On Tuesday, twenty-five-year-old Adam Larson visited the South Band room to perform a brief concert. According to his website, adamlarsonjazz.com, Larson has “garnered numerous awards that distinguish him as one of the most promising artists of his generation.” His ensemble was selected as one of ten to represent the United States State Department in a music program, in which he went on a tour throughout Africa. He also provided insight on the performance of a combo here at West, which included students Jacob Nishimurma ’16, Ned Furlong ’17, Joel Tansey ’16, Kai Trepka ’16 and Peter Tearse ’16.
