Mock accident staged in front of West
Students from Theatre West, SADD and Mount Mercy University teamed up to stage an accident Friday. The groups wanted to show the dangers of texting and driving. Around every four years a similar accident is staged in front of the school, and in the past they were focused on drunk driving. However, texting and driving has proven to be just as big an issue for both teens and adults.
The Iowa City Police Department was also present as students could take a look at the accident during all three lunches.
