West High students gathered Thursday, October 6th for foreign food, fun, and culture. The Open House was created to allow parents to see what students are learning, and for parents to try it out themselves. Along with displays of projects and posters, there was a lot of good eating; from savory foods in the German classroom, to fresh crepes in the French classroom, to a huge salsa contest in the Spanish room.
“The great thing about it is seeing students outside of a classroom context. Enjoying themselves, proud of their accomplishments, showing things off and showing their friends what they’re doing in the different classes; and it’s been a lot of fun to kind
of stand back and watch that.” said Madame Juhl, a french teacher at West.
