ICCSD high school show choirs perform at fundraising event
West show choirs Showtime and Good Time Company (GTC) joined show choirs from Liberty and City High Schools to perform an annual fundraising event renamed “Choirs for a Cause.”
West show choirs Showtime and the Good Time Company took the stage in a joint concert with show choirs from Liberty and City High Schools on Wednesday, Jan. 9. This show, formerly known as “Dollars for Scholars,” is an annual event that previously raised funds for an organization that provided scholarships to ICCSD students, the Great Iowa City Area Dollars for Scholars Endowment. However, the concert was renamed “Choirs for a Cause” this year to make it possible to donate to other entities. This year, money raised will go to the ICCSD Music Auxiliary, an organization that funds music programs throughout the district.
West’s competition season will begin this Saturday, Jan. 12 with the “Waukee Starstruck” competition at Waukee High School. For more information on West’s show choir season, click here.
Your donation will support the student journalists of West High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase Scholarship Yearbooks, newsroom equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
