Bayless puts Ankeny past Trojans in state quarterfinal
The boys basketball team lost to Ankeny 68-54 in the state quarterfinals on March 11. The Trojans finished the season 21-3.

The boys basketball team’s 10th consecutive trip to Wells Fargo Arena wasn’t as long as they hoped. The Trojans fell to Ankeny 68-54 in the 4A Quarterfinal on Wednesday afternoon in Des Monies. Even Brauns ’20 led the Trojans in scoring with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Ankney’s Braxton Bayless ’20 was too much to handle for the Trojans as he finished with 41 points and 10 rebounds. West finishes the season with a record of 21-3.
