The storytelling of important objects
Objects can seem like material things. People eventually lose them, getting rid of them during house cleanings or forgetting they exist altogether. While those lost objects may appear meaningless, there are the few that remain sentimental to specific individuals. No matter how big or small, extravagant or modest, some objects just hold a special place in the hearts of their owners. Objects don’t always have to be useful in order to be important. Some hold memories, others are reminders of who we are and who we were. Looking at one’s objects can explain parts of their stories that they may not be able to. Objects are a peek into somebody’s life, a symbol of a time that explains who they are. As you’ll see through the stories of these photos, some objects are simply important, they’ll be taken wherever their owners go and maybe even held on to forever.
