I captured this sunset photo on the gravel road off of Melrose Avenue. My focus while taking this picture was on the silhouettes of the building and trees in the back, in front of the sunset.

Photography has always been something that I really admired, and although I wasn’t good at it, I would always go out and have “spring photoshoots” with my parent’s phone when I was little. This project has made me realize how much I enjoy photography, and I have learned a lot about it.

From Late March to early April I went out and took pictures of spring in Iowa City. The weather was always very nice while taking my photos, and a lot of them were taken in and around Willow Creek Park. I also took pictures around the Iowa River and captured some great sunsets. All of my photos were taken to capture different aspects of spring. The blooming flowers, sunshine, and flower buds. I like how my pictures turned out. They all have different ideas and themes, but I like how they all share a similar overall theme of spring.
