West High Math Club wins Math League State 19th year in a row

The Trojans held the 25th Math League State Competition for the first time in four years, and took the crown for the 24th time.

West High held the 25th Math League State Competition in person for the first time since 2019, hosting six different schools from all over Iowa. The West High math club took first place for the 19th year in a row, out of the 25 years of the competition, West High has taken the crown a total of 24 times. All 13 members of the math team who competed qualified to the national competition that will be held in Kansas City later in May.

Junior High:

1st Place – Edward Li

11th grade:

2nd Place – Caleb Benson

3rd Place – Athena Wu

 

12th grade:

1st Place – Ashley Seo

2nd Place – Anish Lodh
