The audition

Nina Elkadi, News Editor

The student produced play “The Audition” was performed in the little theatre this past Friday and Saturday. The one-act comedy showcased the audition process for a show through the eyes of a high school theatre director. Seniors Leela Bassuk and Ashlynn Dale held auditions in June, working throughout the summer with graduated and current students. The play had an array of characters included; from the girl who didn’t know she had to sing to audition for a musical, to the dad ready to sue because his daughter didn’t get a callback. The play was free to attend, but donations were accepted to contribute to Theatre West’s future productions.
