Following their first win against Dubuque Hempstead April 8, the girls varsity tennis team traveled to Dubuque to take on Wahlert Catholic April 10.
During singles, West started off strong with wins by Sasha Postnikov ’25 and Audrey Crawford ’26. The rest of the team followed suit, ending with a close win by Grace Wang ’27 at 3 Singles and putting West 6-0 going into doubles.
While the top three doubles teams competed, Angela Kim ’28 and the team of Gianna Liu ’25 and Gracie Liu ’27 played exhibition singles and doubles, respectively.
West’s 1 and 3 Doubles teams made quick work of their matches, putting the team at 8-0. After a long match at 2 Doubles, the team of Crawford and Sophie Singh ’27 ultimately fell to Wahlert in a third set tie-break.
