By Madie Miller The varsity girls basketball team lost to Cedar Rapids Kennedy on Jan. 29 with a final score of 40-33. Mikaela Morgan ’15 was the highest scorer and rebounder of the night for the Women of Troy. She shoots an average of 16.7 points and has 6.8 rebounds a game. Morgan holds the team-highs in steals (37) and assists (41). Some younger players have stepped up to replace the loss of Danielle Craig ’15 to an ACL tear. Freshman Emily Halverson has scored double figures twice and averages 6.1 points per game. She reached a career-high with 17 points during the game against Cedar Rapids Jefferson.
