Basketball teams play Liberty
Both the boys and girls basketball teams faced off against Liberty for the second time.
The boys basketball team hosted Liberty High at 7:30 p.m., while the girls played across town at Liberty also at 7:30 p.m. The girls lead Liberty the entire game and ultimately won 67-22. Before the boys game, Patrick McCaffery ’19 was recognized for being nominated for the McDonald’s All-American game. At the close of the second quarter, Liberty was within 10 points of West at halftime. In the end, the Trojans defeated the Bolts 61-34.
Next Tuesday, the boys will host Dubuque Wahlert and the girls will travel to Dubuque Wahlert. Both games will be at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, the Trojans will host yet another crosstown rival, City High. The boys will battle first at 6 p.m. followed by the girls at 7:30 p.m.
