The Arts Festival and Jazz Festival

Mark your calendars! Iowa City’s separate annual events, the Arts Festival and the Jazz Festival will take place in the heart of downtown this summer. Both occasions are packed with food, art, and business booths that line the streets for blocks. With live music all day, you’re sure to find something you’ll love. Plus, entering each event is free for everyone. The Arts Festival is from June 3rd through the 5th, and the Jazz Festival takes place from July 1st through the 3rd.
Taste of Iowa City
- Iowa City Downtown district
- August 24, 4-8 p.m.
This August, your taste buds will surely be satisfied after downtown’s Taste of Iowa City event! Booths from more than 30 of your favorite restaurants around the downtown area will line the sidewalks. Simply purchase your tickets for one dollar each at one of the six participating ticket vendors. Then give each booth the required amount for a sample portion of something on their menu. Taste of Iowa City will take place on Wednesday, August 24th from 4-8 p.m.
Iowa City Sidewalk Sales

In addition to all of the other exciting events going on this summer in Iowa City, the downtown district is also hosting a Sidewalk Sales event! Vendors from all over Iowa City will post booths for the public to view and purchase their merchandise. The sales will be going on from Thursday, July 14th through Sunday, July 18th.
Iowa City Farmer’s Market

Get ready to shop! The Iowa City Farmers Market will be coming back on May 7! Featuring This event will be running from May to October on Saturdays. It will be taking place from 7:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
Coralville Outdoor Pool
- Monday – Friday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Get your goggles and sunscreen ready! The Coralville Community Aquatic Center (1513 7th St. Coralville, IA 52241) outdoor pool will be opening on June fourth! It is six dollars daily and free for children the age of two. The pool’s hours are Monday – Friday: 11:00 am-7:00 pm, and Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
The Coralville Lake
- Open Sunday-Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
