Towards the end of last week, Theater West performed The Secret Garden Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, as well as Saturday afternoon. Check out the behind-the-scenes up on the West Side Story YouTube channel!
On Monday, there was a total solar eclipse for the first time since 2021 and the first solar eclipse in North America since 2017. The Red Cross held a blood drive last Friday. Later this week, band is going on a trip to Orlando, Florida.
ISASPS are also right around the corner. Make sure to check your email for the schedule. Prom is also coming up for juniors and seniors in a few weeks. Make sure to submit song requests and order a Party After Prom t-shirt!
Last Monday, both the girls and the boys soccer team beat Liberty. Boys soccer will play a home game vs. Prairie on April 18th, and girls soccer will play against Jefferson on April 16. Girls track hurdle relay qualified for Drake with the Blue Oval Standard. Boys track also had multiple people qualify for Drake. Izaiah Loveless ’24 won first place in the 100 meter dash; Moustafa Tiea ’25 qualified with the the 400, 800 and 1600 meter runs; and Aidan Jacobsen ’24 also qualified with the 400 meter hurdles and won first place in the state for this race. Both track teams have a meet later this week at City on April 18th. Girls and Boys tennis both have a game against Liberty on April 16th.
