After four successful showings, Theatre West’s “The Sound of Music” came to a close on Saturday, April 12. The musical follows Maria, a postulant who becomes the governess of the von Trapp family’s children. Throughout the show, Maria — played by Rana Saba ’25 — grows closer to the children and their father, Georg von Trapp, all the while discovering what her true path is in life.

While the audience gets to see the actors fully transformed into their persona, for some, the process of getting into character remains a mystery. Joined by sound crew member Rhea Knight ’25 and costumes crew head Rory Rogers ’25, follow Saba as she does her hair, goes through sound checks, and gets into costume to prepare for a dress rehearsal.

Theatre West will be back in the fall with another production. To stay updated, join Theatre West’s newsletter and receive additional information.
