When Greg Witt was in high school he loved math and history. In college he got his degree in math and computer science, but later in grad school while he was a Teaching Assistant (TA) he found out he enjoyed being in front of the class instead of in the back.

I love to teach because I know that what I teach helps students progress through life.

— Mr. Witt

“I love to teach because I know that what I teach helps students progress through life,” Mr. Witt said. As a kid, he was very interested in math and that is why he chose to teach math, but if he did not teach math he would teach history, preferably world history or U.S. history.

He has two kids at home who love to play all kinds of sports, and he has another kid on the way. All in all, he really likes teaching at West and currently, he would not change a thing about West other than the air conditioning.
