It’s that time of year again! The season of horror movies, pumpkin spice lattes, and excessive candy eating. To some, Halloween marks the start of the holiday season. Everyone loves the months full of celebrations and cheer, but all those delicious meals and gifts can put a strain on your wallet. For Halloween this year, consider shopping at thrift stores in the Iowa City area like Goodwill, Crowded Closet or the Salvation Army Family Store to save money and the world. Shopping at and donating to second-hand stores is a fun way to recycle and get funky new stuff. Whether you’re looking for the perfect outfit for your friend’s big costume party, or you’re in the market for some spooky new decorations, thrift stores are the way to go.
