The Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD) School Board voted to no longer require masks in schools during the school board meeting March 1. Based on updated CDC guidelines, the district decided to no longer require masks in school buildings, campuses and school buses as Johnson County remains in the low or medium transmission rate category. The decision will be revisited if the county’s transmission rates move to the high category.
