A race for freedom: annual Corgi Challenge

Iowa City’s local corgis make history going head to head in Hunter’s Run Park for the first annual Corridor Corgi Race.

A momentous local tradition has been forged. What may come to mind with those words? A community corgi race, of course. Over 32 canine participants made a dash to victory on Sept. 18, 2022, with only three coming home with champion t-shirts and trophies. See the high stakes, drama, homage to Queen Elizabeth II and amazing feats of speed that took place at the first ever Corridor Corgi Race.
