We are all identified by our names. Which makes the universal experience of people never being able to pronounce them correctly a discussion worth having.

One of the first things people remember each other by is their names. It defines a person in a way that no other words can. All names are different. This makes the effort we put in to recognize this fact is more important than one realizes. West High boasts a student population full of diversity and inclusion and gives you a chance to be introduced to different people from different cultures every day. And like all introductions include, sometimes it’s natural to come across names that are more than awkward to try and pronounce.
