West High’s 1440 Interact Club spent a club meeting making birthday cards to be sent to the Coralville Food Pantry. The Food Pantry has a program where they give birthday bags to families who need help getting materials for birthdays and birthday parties. 1440 works with the food pantry often to help provide for the Iowa City and Coralville communities. Club members worked hard to create colorful and meaningful cards to donate to the pantry. The club meets after school every other Wednesday in Ms. Sandhu’s room and often does volunteer projects such as this. If there is a volunteer opportunity or community need that 1440 could help with, please contact the presidents: Zaira Ahmed, Kamakshee Kuchhal and Lillian Graham.
