On Thursday, Sept. 21, West High hosted its third annual Trojan Games. At the games, juniors and seniors competed against each other to determine once and for all which grade was superior. The boys participated in manball (boys volleyball) and played three sets to 25 points. The girls partook in a game of powderpuff (flag football) and played two halves that lasted 20 minutes.
The night started with manball, in which the seniors dominated all three sets. During the sets, WSS mic’d up senior volleyball coach Melae Lacy ’24 and junior volleyball coach Khaiyana Washington ’25.
Soon after, the lights at Trojan Field were turned on, and the juniors and seniors went head to head again, this time in a game of powderpuff. WSS mic’d up junior coach Jack Wallace ’25 and senior coach Izaiah Loveless ’24 throughout the game. After a nail-biting game with interceptions and touchdowns on both sides, the juniors fell short, and the seniors won the powderpuff game with a final score of 22-19.
Congratulations to the seniors! Stay tuned for the Trojan games next year!
