Holiday treats: the ultimate debate

The holidays are approaching, so it’s time to review classic holiday treats.

The days are shorter, the air has a bite to it, our coats are getting larger and our mittens are the only protection from the fierce roar of the wind. Soon enough, snowflakes will begin to twirl in the blurry winter air. What does this mean? Winter is here, folks.
Some people thoroughly enjoy this season and those who don’t appreciate the freezing weather cope with the delicious food.
Winter certainly is not complete without the signature foods that go along with it. Each family has a different tradition for the holidays. The holidays are approaching, so food will be the top priority. A hearty meal simply isn’t fulfilling without a little sweet treat paired with it.

Peppermint, sugar cookies, gumdrops, candy canes, gingerbread, eggnog, the list goes on! That’s right, winter sweets are back in season.
There has always been a long debate on which winter goodie is the most delicious, mind-blowing, life-changing dessert. Sisters Tessa Gibson ‘24 and Anna Gibson ‘26 are here to indulge in the classic winter desserts and answer this question.

However, this isn’t a typical review video. Both sisters will rate and assess these sweets on a candy cane scale. These treats will be given a score through 1-10 candy canes. One means the treat is absolutely putrid and needs to be refunded, whereas 10 means that this treat is simply the best thing ever to exist.

Which winter delicacy is truly the best? Click on the video below to find out.
