One shirt, four outfits
Want new outfit ideas without breaking the bank? WSS has four ways to style one simple shirt.
Spring is approaching which means the desire for new clothes that line up with the latest trends and the fluctuating weather. And since buying a whole new wardrobe every few months isn’t the most budget-friendly idea, we’ve got it covered. Here’s how to wear one item of clothing many different ways.
Let’s breakdown a basic outfit: shirt, pants and shoes. It’s pretty difficult to try and wear pants and shoes in a different way, so we decided to focus on shirts. A simple, slightly oversized button-up long sleeved is perfect. It’s breathable and can be dressed up and down at the same time. For the warmer days it’s flowy, and for the chillier, you can layer other items of clothing underneath or on top.
The simplest way to wear this type of shirt is buttoned up with a pair of jeans. It’s on the casual side but it’s also more dressed up than sweats and a tee.
Another casual way to style this shirt is over a basic tee. It’s simple and comfortable, perfect to lounge around in.
For a more laid-back look, wrap the shirt around your waist. Play around with different patterned and/or colored shirts to make it stand out more. This look is great for a night out with friends.
To wear this simple top: button the top half of the shirt and tie the bottom ends together in a knot to make the effect of a cropped shirt. This look is perfect for those who prefer to dress on the more feminine side. Try wearing a bright shirt underneath to create a contrast of color and pattern.
Remember, clothes can be a great way to showcase one’s personal style. So get creative and have fun.
