west vs dubuqueThe West High girls soccer team just clicked Saturday during their two games in Dubuque when they beat Senior 9-0 and Wahlert 5-0. “ I thought our games went very well. We really connected on offense and worked hard for each other,” said Anna Hausler ‘14, who scored three goals against Senior, two of the being headers. “My goals were just a result of plays being made throughout the field. Our team, as a whole, is peaking at the right time,” Hausler said. Quinn Terrell ‘13, who scored 2 goals against Wahlert, agreed that the team is doing a good job of preparing for upcoming games, “the games this past weekend were definitely crucial for our momentum going into sub-state and of course doing well for the rest of the season,” said Terrell. The team has four more regular season games before their first sub-state game Wednesday, May 30th at 5 p.m. in Iowa City.
