West girls tennis will travel across town to compete against cross-town rival City High May 1. The meet, usually held alongside the boys City/West matchup at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex, was moved this year because the construction of the Little Hawks’ courts was finished this summer. Previously scheduled to compete in the Valley Invite May 2, the girls tennis team had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. Later this week, the Trojans will host Waterloo West at 8 a.m. on May 3.
